I’m new to magnet fishing and bought this set as my first thinking I’d try a weight more in the middle and this magnet size first. I’ve had four major back surgeries (I’m a female) and am “walking parapeligec”. I was so excited and found a boat launch with a dock to give it a test on. What I learned is the rope will tangle and you may want some sort of tube to wrap it around when you’re done the first time or two while the rope unkinks and becomes worn to lay/curl properly. Other than it being a little on the heavy side for me (this isn’t something to compare unless you’re like me with physical limitations.) due to my physical condition (for those that do have limitations or special needs - IT IS POSSIBLE). I was very sore afterward but nothing worth it isn’t. I look forward to getting out and exercising. Couple of things I’ll add to the kit …. Bucket is much easier than the case. Possibly new rope TBD, scissors or knife (hang on outside of bucket - tie from handle and let hang so it doesn’t get stuck to magnet), towel, bug spray, heavy duty garbage bag, plastic tiny mini dust pan and broom to sweep up/clean up after myself. All very small plastic items that can sit in bottom of bag (except scissors of course). Just thought I’d share this in case it helps someone. Very happy with purchase, arrived fast without any issues.
Went magnet fishing off a docking that was adjacent to a boat ramp with my kids.I threw it first, my daughter threw it second and on the third toss, my son was screaming he caught something!! He did… he dragged the magnet over the metal plate of the boat dock and I could NOT pull it off, I had another full grown man pulling on one end and I pulled the other and it didn’t budge an millimeter.I’m disappointed because I barely used it, but I’m more impressed at the strength that SOB had! I could have pulled a VW bug out of the lake but instead it found its new home on the boat ramps metal lip.10/10 would buy again if I could…

Magnet seems weak for its advertised rating.
It's a minor thing but there was no scraper included. The set is good otherwise though.
