CityDweller I got tired of buying Stud Finders. They work ok, but I read about someone using a Rare Earth Magnet to find the metal drywall screws that were used to hold the drywall to the studs. I bought one and tried it out and since then I have quit using my Stud Finder. The magnet is strong enough to find the screws. It is pretty fail safe.
